THE BEGINNING
The YouTube channel 'SeekingBlue' was created in December of 2010. The original intention of the channel was just to upload silly skits and gain YouTube popularity. This was not Connor Kwilos' first channel; his first dated way back to the beginnings of the website: 2006. The channel was named 'gmama6'; it was hacked and deleted. The videos were lost forever.
The videos themselves began in about 2004. Connor got his first digital camera around that time, and began making short little films with his cousins. The earliest videos you can find are on the youtube channel RedHawkBlizzard. At this time, Connor had no intention of carrying on his hobby to anywhere past YouTube.
GETTING SERIOUS
In the 7th grade, Connor first tossed around the concept of a full length film. At this time, the YouTube channel 'SeekingBlue' was uploading vlogs and skits. His English teacher gave him the idea of making a horror film about the local urban legend of 'Pigman Road', which is really Holland Road. This legend was created based off of a man who lived on the road a long time ago, who had swine-like deformities. He was known to be a butcher, and generally creepy; some even thought him to be a killer.
Connor began filming the movie in the fourth quarter of 2011, and continued in the spring of 2012. Filming continued in bits and pieces, until the film finally debuted on September 15th, 2012. The film received more than a thousand views within the first week. It wasn't as long as he originally intended, but it was very important in beginning his serious film making career. Immediately after the release, he began work on more films.
PRESENT DAY
Today, Connor is working his way through high school, and maintaining his film making career. Since The Legend of Pigman Road, he's released many more short films, all with generally positive reception. Connor has stopped making YouTube videos, past simply using it as an outlet to upload his films. He hopes to continue making these films, and maybe someday do them professionally. Here's a photo from the set of '13 Minutes', which was filmed October of 2013.
